I would like to have this feature, too! |
Hi - we are trying to tidy up the stale issues and PRs in Plotly's public repositories so that we can focus on things that are still important to our community. Since this one has been sitting for a while, I'm going to close it; if it is still a concern, please add a comment letting us know what recent version of our software you've checked it with so that I can reopen it and add it to our backlog. Alternatively, if it's a request for tech support, please post in our community forum. Thank you - @gvwilson |
Hi @gvwilson, I am still interested in spike lines in multi plots. At the moment I'm adding them with shapes - with all the disadvantages that such a solution entails. I wonder why there aren't more users who want this feature. Especially with mulitple plots that have a common reference, spikelines are very useful, just like Victor explained. Of course, I also understand why the ticket is closed here. Nevertheless, I wanted to emphasize my interest again. |
Hi, I am finding the toggle spike line feature on plotly very useful, and I am wondering if there could be a feature added to it so that we are able to freeze the spike lines in place (upon a click, or another similar event action). This new feature could be helpful if we have multiple plots in a facet and need to scroll down our page without losing the spike line. This could also be useful to "bookmark" a vertical line in the plot while exploring other data points.
Thanks in advance!
Victor
