Having the diff shown in the draft commit template?

Dear all,

is it possible to show the diff in the editor template that opens e.g. when using jj split -i or similar? And not just the names of the changed files?

JJ: Enter a description for the first commit.


JJ: This commit contains the following changes:
JJ:     A some/file/path/example.txt
JJ:
JJ: Lines starting with "JJ:" (like this one) will be removed.

I guess it is possible by completely defining this template. But is there an option to enable this without having to maintain my own template?

this is possible by changing the default template, see https://jj-vcs.github.io/jj/latest/config/#default-description as an example

Hmm, that template truncates the names of the change files.

I found the default here:
https://github.com/jj-vcs/jj/blob/main/cli/src/config/templates.toml#L88

And changed the line to read:

indent("JJ:     ", diff.summary()),

And now it is like I want to have it! Horray!
