I have found that hadrianEvalPackages has been removed in the upstream nixpkgs GHC package def, and confirmed it is no longer present in your unstable bump in this PR as well.

I have found that removing this override is enough to fix it, but not sure the best way to gracefully include that here, since you want to support both stable and unstable.

I don't think it ever had it. I'm not sure how it build hadrian. The hadrianEvalPackages is for haskell.nix to use when it makes a plan for building hadrian.

Our current stack is fairly complex, but I'll see if I can narrow it down to a minimal reproduction and report back.
