• @carols10cents would like a status update on static.crates.io cache control crates.io#1826, https://github.com/rust-lang/simpleinfra/blob/2344b1296e2a49af3c6c344484c42991eb6121b9/terraform/services/cratesio/cloudfront-static.tf, Upload all content to s3 as public and immutable crates.io#1871 etc. Is there more testing that needs to be done? What are the next steps?

  • GitHub Actions - is there a way for official rust-lang projects to get more caching than the default 400MB/2GB limits? Our compressed caches are typically ~1GB per release channel.
  • S3 bucket for Travis - @kzys asked over in Run crates.io inside Travis (without Docker) crates.io#1825 (comment) if we can enable an S3 bucket for sharing file between stages. This may be helpful for future integration tests. I don't think there is an immediate need to set this up, but I want to get a feel for if this is something we would consider enabling if we stay with Travis.
